As the Chief Financial Officer for the Sheriff’s Office, Mark L. Manning brings 42 years of experience in business management, finance, marketing, and contract negotiation. He began his career in real estate development in 1982 with National Development and Management Corporation where Mark managed operations for the company. In 1985 he moved to West Palm Beach, Fl. where he took the position of National Director for NRC Corporation. During this time, he was responsible for the management and marketing of multi-million-dollar luxury real estate properties across the United States. This included spearheading various new developments, project turnarounds, and troubleshooting for the properties.

After moving back to his hometown in Ohio in 1989, Mark began a 35 year long financial career in Wealth Management starting with Butler Wick Investments (now Stifel Financial). From there he founded and managed Northern Lakes Financial Group where, as an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, he specialized in wealth management, financial planning, and investment management for his clients. Mark was also a market analyst, commentator, and writer for RealMoney.com, TheStreet.com, and Fidelity Investments online.

Mark also has maintained a life-long passion for competing and teaching combative arts and firearms training. He is a certified national firearms instructor with the USCCA and an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. Mark is also an active competitor within the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), and Police Practical Combat Pistol.
